Deviantart Questionaire

1. How long have you been on DeviantArt? 
Officially I've had this Deviantart Account for seven whole spankin' years, but I have only been officially posting on it and intent on using it for the last 3-4 I think.

2. What does your username mean? I've had a few different Deviantart names since I started here, three to be specific actually. I've never really switched accounts believe it or not. My first DA name was going off of the anime/manga Naruto, course I didn't even spell that name right go figure. It had been my username on an old website I used called GaiaOnline. Which I abandoned after a certain point and hoped my friends would find me here. Short story; They didn't. Lol

Second name I had on this site was Theevilteadrinker, and one I held onto the longest in the time I was active here. I chose this one because I love tea, obviously. And a dear friend of mine Alison-lynn stated that I was evil to my characters during one of our many chats. Before proclaiming me 'The Evil Tea Drinker'. I thought it was a hoot and immediately changed my DA name to that. 

Octeapi is my most recent, and was actually recommended to me by the artist VampireSensei when I posted a journal requesting name ideas from my watchers. AND MAN YOU GUYS DIDN'T DISAPPOINT THERE. There were literally dozens of names I would of loved to use, but sadly there could be only one. So the play on words for Octopus and tea won the name war. 

3. Describe yourself in three words.
Energetic, Determined, controlled.

4. Are you left or right handed?
Right handed, trying to teach left but tis a slow battle. 

5.What was your first deviation?
 
This would be my first submission to Deviantart, there are actually like three faces hidden in there i think. Took me over four days to finish, done from start to finish in sharpie in the 8th(?) grade. I had a thing for detail even then, hated backgrounds at this age though.

6.What is your favourite type of art to create?
Favorite type of art would definitely be digital, but I have a deep love for traditional arts as well. My primary medium for traditional being watercolors/watercolor pencils, and pencil & pen.

7.If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Realism. 
I still struggle with this one, I adore how magnificent it can all look but it seems to elude me. I want to try and peruse it more in the future however. 

8.What was your first favourite?
 
Back from those before mentioned Naruto days;; haha. 

9.What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
I tend to favorite art that inspires me, or holds something I want to remember and try and include in a future picture. Whether its a color composition or a technique they used, I like collecting things that motivate me to try new things. My second most favorite kind of art would be the amazing pieces that people have made for me. 

10.Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
Oh Jeezzz, this is a really hard one... Honestly I have so many I am not sure I could truly say without leaving a two paged list. 

11.If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
Let's see.. I'd adore to meet some of the pals I've had the pleasure of meeting previously. Joydroid Alison-lynn Heavenbat ProjectHalfbreed CuddlesAndHuggles are all people I have have managed to torment at IZCon and would jump at another opportunity to do so, it was so much fun to meet them the first time around. 
As for other folks I'd like to have the chance to hmn.. I suppose I'd like to be able to meet Skarita orrr serenadefox. Cause they're both rockin' lasses. 


12.How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
I've mentioned in another journal how much Deviantart has changed me over the years. It has literally made me a different person than the girl I once was, gave me opportunities I couldn't of imagined I would have the chance to even encounter. Let me go places, meet people, and grow as an artist. I would be no where near where I am today without this site and the people I have met through it.

13. What are your preferred tools to create art?
Wacom Intous 4 and paint tool sai, but I love trying different mediums as well.

14.What is the most inspirational place for you to create art? 
The world. I love traveling and just sitting down somewhere and drawing it. Admittedly it is a solitary activity but I get so much inspiration from what I see around me. 

15.What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
Hmn, I guess the excitement I felt when artists I admired began to notice me more as I got older and positioned myself in the IZ fandom. It was unexpected, and hit me like waves. I can remember leaving my room numbly and sitting next to my sister in complete awe and just sitting there for a good few minutes. Before finally stating that 'usernamegoeshere' watched me. I'll never forget that humbling joy.
