Abyss

Did I mention that Yhosymph’s like Ullitrius have a cousin species? 
Technically the Yho’s evolved from these babies, but that is a story for another time.
I was toying with some concept designs of this cutie. These adorable buggars are called Abyssymphs, and I can promise you you’re gonna see more of them in the future. 
They reside strictly in the water of Ephomeris, however not the surface waters. The Abyss's habitat are the underground oceans. There is no actual sea, or ocean on the planet. A majority of its waters resides under the surface, only accessible through caves and tunnels. So as you can imagine, Sauvakian's are the ones who get to see these babu's pretty face most often.
while land dwellers find the Yhosymphs unsavory, they'd rather deal with one of those any day of the week over an Abyss. 
The inhabitants of the planet all communicate through a sixth sense they refer to as Essence, a free language that can be spoken between the different classes, and at times the environment. The Abyss however, are something that one would never wish to brush their essence against. The very reason being in their name. 
Abyss. 
The Abyss's minds are like a void, a black hole. Attempting to communicate, or interact with such a creature will be much like trying to get close to a black hole.
It will consume the essence, the mind, the soul of the being. 
Leaving the body intact, temporarily, but lifeless. Unable to speak, to move, a shell without anything inside of it. Death, without death.
That is before they rip the body to shreds, but that's comes later.

So remember kids, don't brush essences with an Abyss..Actually, just don't go near them at all. 
They're not as nice as the Yhosymphs.

Does kind of explain how Alma can end up so bloody in water. 

Anyways, this is one concept of them, its possible this will change again in the days to come but this is where it starts!
